The ‘Casa dei Ciliegi’ (Cherry Tree House ) Agriuturismo nestles in the peaceful Natural Park of Monte Labbro, in the foothills of Monte Amiata in South Tuscany.
Filling the windows are the gentle green of the pastures, the darker green of the woods, the warm colours of the fields and the frangrant yellow broom, and beyond the valley, the hills of the Animal Park.
You can wake up and see a deer on the lawn, or foxes, squirrels, roe-bucks, hedgehogs and many other animals we have forgotten. The sky is host to a great variety of birds, hawks, horned owls, hen-harriers, cuchoos... and in June and July fire-flies shine at night.
Star-gazers from all over Italy come here seeking clear star-filled skies; ours is one of the areas with least light pollution of the whole of Italy.
Nearly is the largest beech wood of Europe as well as the thermal baths of Saturnia, Bagni San Filippo, Bagni Vignone, Petriolo. There are also archeological sites (Etruscan and Roman), medieval towns, forts, churches, cities full of art, and itineraries to follow on foot, by horse or by bicycle. |
